Our experience has helped us profile the qualities of a successful franchisee.
The successful franchisee is one who has a positive and upbeat approach to life.
The successful franchisee is one who fills others with enthusiasm. This holds true for both his or her
employees and the customer. This shows in ones relationships outside the job, including ones family and friends.
Even if the franchise that one seeks to buy does not include the hiring of employees or direct contact with the public,
the positive attitude will fuel ones ability to resolve the inevitable problems that any business encounters.
The successful franchisee is one who has the ability
to learn and understand business management.
The successful franchisee is one who is willing and able to learn and understand general business concepts and
management. While this may seem self evident, the fact is that hundreds of people each year purchase a business for
which he or she has no aptitude or which he or she is unable to learn. This inability is not a character defect or a
reflection on ones intelligence. Instead it is fact of life: there are some things that we are not built to do. Owning a
business can be a stressful and will certainly be filled with hurdles to overcome. Not all personalities are equipped to
handle them. For such a person, having a salaried job is a better alternative.
The successful franchisee is one who has thoroughly researched the franchise opportunity before it is purchased. Once again,
hundreds of people each year purchase a franchise without taking the time to research the opportunity. Such research includes
a careful review of the offering circular, consultation with knowledgeable legal and financial advisors, and, most importantly,
feeling comfortable in asking the franchisor questions for which satisfactory answers are given.
You can be successful only if you believe in
your franchisor and trust its ability to deliver the services that its promises
The successful franchisee is one who has the financing needed to operate the franchise during the "ramp up" period.

The successful franchisee is one who feels comfortable with and is committed to the success of the business on a
day to day basis. Not all franchises require the franchisee to commit his or her full time to the business. Our
experience however is clear: the successful franchisee is one who is involved with the business on a day to day basis.
No one, not even the most committed manager, will care about the business more than you do. It is your money, sweat,
and business life which are invested in this project. Though you may not have to be at the franchise site every day,
your contact with the business even something as small as a phone call helps insure the success of the business.
Congratulations. You have taken the first step into the world of franchising.
With all of the franchise related information available online, most of our clients are quickly overwhelmed.
This is where our decades of experience can help. We have developed franchise systems from its foundation through
its legal sales compliance systems. We have worked with hundreds of franchise buyers and have looked at the documents
from scores of mature and newly emerging franchise systems. Simply put, we know franchising.
First our services are free to you. There is no catch. You pay us nothing. We get paid by the franchisor if, and
only if, Franchisee Consulting Group, Inc., introduces you to the franchise system that you eventually purchase.
When you become a client of Franchisee Consulting Group, Inc., we will dedicate ourselves and our resources to helping
you find the franchise that fits you. We do not represent the franchisor.
There are over 5,000 franchise systems available in the U.S. It is our mission to understand your personal
financial, lifestyle and business goals. With this information we will be able to select between 2 and 5
franchise systems that meet your needs and for which you are qualified.
Once these candidates are identified, Franchisee Consulting Group, will discuss the full range of issues -
good and bad - that confront any franchise system. Where the franchisor will give you only the rosy picture,
we will give you the full picture. This is the only way to make an informed decision about what will perhaps
be the largest purchase and commitment of time and energy in your life. Here is how we work.

FOUR STEPS TO SUCCESS
STEP 1
The first step to finding the right franchise for you is our information gathering service. We will ask that you
fill out a confidential questionnaire. Along with information which was gathered at any initial consultation,
your answers to these questions will help us determine exactly what you're looking for in a franchise opportunity.
STEP 2
With the information that you have provided us, Franchisee Consulting Group will identify between 2 and 5 franchises that
are the best match to your lifestyle, professional and financial goals.
STEP 3
Our next step is to discuss the pros and cons of each system. This educational process will save you a tremendous
amount of time and headaches. It is also often the most fun part of the process and will help you narrow your focus
and energy to the systems that are your best match.
STEP 4
Once we have completed the evaluation process and you have chosen the systems which best interest you,
we will then personally introduce you to the right contact at the franchise system. Instead of just being
another cold call that is handed off to a sales person - who gets dozens of such calls each day - you will be
delivered to the senior staff as a "pre-qualified" candidate who has already been vetted by our system. While
others will just be getting their feet wet, you will be ready to begin the more formal familiarization process.
This is a win-win for everyone. You will have avoided several steps in the qualification process and will be a
candidate that the franchisor is interested in meeting.
Once again, we want to assure you, this process is free to you. Franchisee Consulting Group, Inc., will be paid only
if you find the system that is right for you.
